About Nissan Cars: Nissan Leaf

Our Nissan Massachusetts dealership supports the green car initiatives with the new Nissan Leaf, first unveiled in August of 2009. Nissan Leaf is a zero emission car with a price tag of ,800 before federal and state incentives reduce it to around ,000.

If you’ve been looking for an electric car, you may need to look no further than your Boston Nissan dealer. Nissan Leaf is an electric hatch back vehicle which can seat up to five adults and drive 100 miles before needing a charge.

The car is powered by lithium-ion batters which can create over 90 kilowatts of power. The car charges to 80% of full capacity in 30 minutes or less with the quick charger. When you’re home, you charge the Leaf through a 200V outlet, with a full charge taking about eight hours.

In addition to it’s green, no emissions features, the Nissan Leaf also offers drivers an advanced information technology system. The car’s dashboard will display nearby charging stations, as well as how much further you can drive before you need to power up your car. Another exclusive feature of the new Nissan is the ability to use your cellular phone to turn on charging or air conditioning even when the Leaf is not running.

The new Nissan features a futuristic design, with aerodynamic sloping front and a unique back end. You can tell by looking at the car that it’s an electric car, and unlike anything else currently on the market.

Nissan Leaf sales will begin in late 2010, with most cars delivered in 2011.
